Direct bus services from nearby cities including Mumbai and Pune are plentiful, and from Satara, you can easily get to Kas Pathar by bus.
Tourists who plan to visit the Kaas Plateau by air, can book a flight from their hometown to Mumbai, and then finish the journey to Kas Pathar with a bus or private taxi. Unfortunately, public transport is not an option for the last leg of your journey.

How to get around Kaas Plateau:-
As visiting Kas Pathar you can use the cycle facility provided by the Forest Management Committee for 50 rupees an hour. Coming from Satara you can catch a city bus for 30 rupees, and from the Satara stand you can hire a rickshaw for 500 rupees. If you’re planning to travel with a group of 3 to 4 people, you can book a rental car from Satara.
How many days are needed to visit Kas Pathar:-
You can easily cover everything the site has to offer in just one day, and booking a hotel in Satara or Mahabaleshwar for the night would be a great idea, when visiting Kas Patha
Note:-
Coming from Mahabaleshwar, booking a hotel in Mahabaleshwar is probably the better option, so that you can visit Mahabaleshwar the next day. However, if your next stop after Kas Pathar is the city, it would be best to book a hotel in Satara.
